• Pediatric Narcolepsy Screening Questionnaire

Narcolepsy in children and adolescents can be difficult to diagnose. It often goes undetected for many years, despite evidence that shows that symptoms often begin during adolescence. The purpose of this research study is to develop a tool called the PNSQ in order to help physicians better identify children who may have narcolepsy. The PNSQ is an 11-question survey designed for parents of children/adolescents who are very sleepy or who have other symptoms that suggest that they may have narcolepsy. Your input, together with the input from other parents in this study, will help us to create the first-ever tool for the screening of narcolepsy.

Answer a few questions to see if you may be eligible to participate

Eligible participants will be asked to complete a short, online socio-demographic form and an 11-question survey. Participants will also be asked to review and e-sign the Informed Consent Form, a document that explains the study in detail, and complete a Medical Release Authorization Form, which will allow Mapi/ICON to contact your child’s doctor to confirm diagnosis. This should take no more than 30 minutes of your time and you will receive a $25 Amazon.com gift card upon completing the study.
